Compromise...

OK...Look at this...

This guy was just walking around

My Front Yard like he owns the place...

I'm not giving up the quest,

but sometimes it's just easier to settle

for the ones that don't run up a tree...

Hey you should save that scary eye photo below in case I do another scary eye contest this year....You would win for sure.
We don't have any squirrels around our yard since we are in the country. I think all squirrels that live in KS are city squirrels
I miss you. My mum says she is swamped and hasn't had time to update my blog or visit anyone. I think all doggies, kitties, etc should have special paw phones so we can bark at each other when the humans are busy.

Good thinking, Abby, we have some of that kind inside our house too. Phantom keeps trying to bring them outside but I keep telling him we need to find a "real" one.

Hi Abby
In our experience they all run up trees!!!
What a cheek that squirrely had - as if he didn't even care that you live there.

The nerve! I've got a couple of squirrel who sit on MY porch, eating MY pinecones. And Mom won't let me chase them. (Much.) She just tosses the stuffed ones at me. C'mon - the stuffed ones are practice for the real ones! (And I've killed one stuffed one so far!)

That squirrel doesn't care that he's trespassing on your property. He has no scruples, no conscience, no respect for others... but you need to have a balance in your life and keep all this in perspective. I've learned this in my quest to eradicate the world of this worthless species. Some things ARE more important and your beauty sleep is one of them... you have to take care of yourself so you continue to be extremely, totally, ridiculously CUTE. That's an order. Commander Tank

That squirrel looks slow anyway. You can catch him when you are good and ready.

Abby, that squirrel is a smooth walker - he definitely thinks he OWNS the place. I think your pet squirrels are easier to deal with.

Hi Abby!
What courage that squirrely has! You were smart to let him think he has the "upper hand". Let him get good and comfortable and then POUNCE!!!
We don't really have many squirrels in our back yard..mostly just birdies. Mommy says I'm too lazy to actually chase them. We did have a little kitty that hung around our back porch for awhile and kept taunting me!
