Mom Can't Make Up Her Mind...

So...Today, I am laying in my Look Out Spot...

Just like I always do when Mom & Dad go to

that work place....

All of a sudden...My Mom came home...

In the middle of the day...She never comes home

until it's my Dinner Time...

Anyway...You know how I told you that she was

working 2 Jobs???

Well...Now she won't be working any for awhile...

She told me she went to see her

VET & he told her she could stay out of

work for a whole month...

Don't worry...She's gonna be fine...

She says she just needs some R&R...

And, lots of time with me...

Best News I've heard in a long time!!!

New Year's Resolutions...

Hi, Everybody...

Wow...Can you believe it???

It's 2010...

I liked our Christmas Tree after I got used

to it being right in front of my Look Out Spot...

I didn't even mind not touching Mom's

Special Stuffies...But, I still think they are MINE...

Last nite Me & Mom watched that Big Ball Fall in NYC...

Boy would I love to roll that thing around the Living Room...

Today I finally had a minute to just relax & think...

Me & Mom are working on our New Year's Resolutions...

I'm gonna try to eat ALL the treats Mom gives me...

And, Mom says she is gonna try to help me

keep up with My Blog...

She is still working her 2 Jobs, but soon it will be

2 Part Time Jobs...

She will have more time then...

I have been reading your Blogs, but not commenting

very much...Mom says that should change soon...

My First Best Friend, Tigger crossed over the

Rainbow Bridge on Christmas Nite...

Mom says, even though we will miss her sooo much,

it was her time to go...

She was almost 20 years old & she was very tired...

We know she is running & playing like a kitten

& enjoying every minute...

RIP my Dear Friend...I Love You & I will Miss You!!!

There's a Tree in My Living Room...

What's that all about...

There's alot of new Stuffies, too...

Mom says they don't belong to me...

Little does she know...

Anyway...Just an update:

I know I have been missing for awhile...My Mom started

going to work two times on some days instead of just once...

She says my cousin (her nephew) needed a little help at

his Physical Therapy Clinic so she decided

she should lend a hand...

Now, I'm all for helping others, but now somedays she is

gone from Breakfast to way after Dinner Time...I actually

have to wait a hour or two at nite to eat dinner...

That's just not right!!!

Anyway, I miss all you guys, but my Mom has what she

calls priorities...Excuse Me: I should be her

#1 Priority...Don't you all agree??

The Weather Channel said it was coming...

I looked in My Front Yard....

And, I looked in My Back Yard...

No Snow anywhere...
Now, I'm not complaining...I'm just saying!!!

Changes...

I've been sitting in my Look Out Spot alot lately...

I've noticed alot of changes going on...

Lots of New Colors out there...
I looked down....

And noticed even the flowers in

My Front Yard Flower Beds look different...

So...I told my Mom it was time to investigate...

And there was no time to waste...

The trees aren't really green anymore...

And it looks like the leaves are falling

all over My Back Yard...

Mostly out by my Favorite Squirrel Hunting Tree...

Do you think the Evil Squirrels have something

to do with this???

I've got my eyes out for them...

If they're behind this...They're Toast!!!

In the meantime, I'll just enjoy the New Colors...

They really are kind of pretty....

My Mom got this in an Email today...

We know alot of you have seen it already, but its worth sharing again...

A Dog's Purpose? (from a 6-year-old).

Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog's owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle.

I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn't do anything for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home..As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience.

The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker 's family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away.

The little boy seemed to accept Belker's transition without any difficulty or confusion. We sat together for a while after Belker's Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives.

Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, ''I know why.''

Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I'd never heard a more comforting explanation. It has changed the way I try and live.

He said,''People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life -- like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?''

The Six-year-old continued,''Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long.''

Live simply.

Love generously.

Care deeply.

Speak kindly.

Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy.

Take naps.

Stretch before rising.

Run, romp, and play daily.

Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.

On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.

On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.

When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

Be loyal.

Never pretend to be something you're not.

If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.

When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.

ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF EVERY DAY!
