An Amazing Story & the Bone Relay...

First, I have an Amazing Story for all of you...

I'm sure you have seen this picture on the right side of my Blog...

It used to say: In Memory of Tigger, My Very First Best Friend...

Well, Now look over there - It says: Tigger, the Miracle Cat...

This picture was taken this week...Do you see who is sitting on top of my favorite chair?
Yes...It's Tigger...During our Homecoming BBQ for John, we had another important Homecoming...Tigger walked into the back yard...

She's been gone for a year...She is 18 yrs old...

The last time we saw her she was laying on the deck in the sun...She came up missing & my Mom searched & searched & called her & called her, but she never came home...

After a while we just assumed that she had gone to the Rainbow Bridge...

We don't know what happened to her, but just have to assume that someone else in our neighborhool found her & just kept her in the house...She seems to have been well taken care of...She is very thin, but that was happening to her before she left, too...Some cats just lose weight when they get older...

Anyway...I have my Best Friend home with me again...She seems to remember everything...

Where she ate her dinner, where her box was, etc...

It's just amazing...

We are never letting her outside again...

****************************************************************************

Now...For the Bone Relay...

I carried the Bone by myself, but my Mom followed along just to "take pictures"...

I think she just wanted to make sure nothing happened to me on the way...

I met Scruffy at the New York State Line in Binghamton....

I ran up Rte 81 to the Thruway in Syracuse...
Look at all the Construction...For those of you who live in or have been to NY...

You know what I mean...

I met Asta at the George Washington Bridge & handed off the Bone...

(Abby's Mom here: There was a picture of the George Washington Bridge here, but somehow I lost it...I'm pretty computer challenged, you know...Also, sorry Abby isn't in any of the pictures, but I was so worried about traffic I kept missing her...That, & I really don't know how to add her to the picture)

Sorry the Bone Relay pictures are soo late...

That is an amazing story that is sure to bring tears and hope to a lot of pet owners who have lost a furry loved one. Wonderful story for the homecoming, too. You did great in the Bone Relay. We're all proud of you.

Wow Abby...

That is really an amazing story....and what is even more amazing is that Tigger looks just like Gram and Pap's cat, Spike, who went to the bridge before I arrived here. But my Dad, Alfie, was good friends with him...they are at the bridge together now....

It's so nice for you to have Tigger back and enjoy her...she's beautiful....don't you wish she could talk and tell you where she was ?

Good job on the bone relay....we have a lot of construction here too...it eats up a ton of that expenive gasoline too....

Wow! That's great news about Tigger! Our first cat Moki was gone for about a month when we lived on Hilton Head and we were afraid an alligator had gotten her. Then one day, she showed up in the ivy, purring and sunbathing like she'd never been gone a day!

Hi, Abby -

That is a pawtastic story. We think it will help Deetz and his mum and Hammer and his mum. Tigger looks like she never left home. You two look good together.

Your bone relay pictures are really good - even though you weren't in any of them. Good job handing the bone to Asta.

Love -
